I saw coaches phoning it in, delivering minimal explicit teaching of technique and skills, too many kids per session, endless unorganized scrimmages, and the kicker? One coach is a big screamer. A grown man throwing passive aggressive tantrums, raging at 6-9 year old kids, some of whom have zero soccer experience, with burpees as punishment? Hard pass. Will spend my money somewhere else.

★★★★★Lisa KSMy 7-year-old son absolutely loves soccer. He comes by this honestly because my personal life goals did not include becoming a soccer mom. There are a LOT of soccer organizations in the Fox Valley and we tried three different ones before making our way to Strikers. The reason we didn't like the others is because we'd sign up for a session, it'd end, and then we'd be on our own again. We couldn't find continuity or an organization that would really focus on teaching him HOW to play. A friend recommended we give Strikers a call and I was beyond impressed at how responsive they were. I talked to a few different people in the organization and they were all friendly and patient as they answered my questions. Long story short, after a long soccer journey, my son is now a member of Strikers and he LOVES it. He loves going to practice, which was never the case before when he gladly would have skipped practice to play on his iPad. Last week when I was dragging my feet about getting him to practice he told me, "come on mom, I need to work on my skills!" I don't know how long my son will be this interested in soccer and we will follow his lead. But for now, he's actually learning the fundamentals and how to play, he's enjoying it, and we see his skills building each week. We're so happy we found this organization and would recommend it to anyone.
