Spray Beach Yacht Club on Long Beach Island runs an eight-week summer sailing program for beginners through advanced racers aged 7-18, from Monday 22 June through Friday 14 August, with a four-week session also available. Unusually for an LBI club, the program is open to youths whose families are not members as well as to SBYC junior members, via a Summer Juniors option that lets children join the sailing program and other camp activities without a full membership. All instructors are experienced sailors and racers holding SafeSport and First Aid/CPR certification, NJ Safe Boating certification and US Sailing Level 1 coursework or certification.
