She had been my ballet teacher at another dance studio and when she decided to open SNHDT, my family (along with many others) followed her. I am forever grateful that we did because all those years, starting in ballet level 4, up until I was a senior in high school performing lead roles, gave me the ability, tools and knowledge to go on to become a professional ballet dancer. I danced for Ballet Austin, Sacramento Ballet and Nevada Ballet Theatre, among many other amazing opportunities. I am retired and have young children of my own now, but my life as a successful dancer would have never been possible if it were not for Patricia Lavoie.
