Powered by GoogleMy 17 year old son has been with South Florida Youth Basketball League since he was 5 years old. This league has a great experienced, director (Eugene), fair referees and knowledgeable coaches. My son has learned a lot about basketball and but more so teamwork. Eugene runs a top notch place for basketball to be played whether recreational or for the more serious player. My son has enjoyed summer camps, training sessions, summer leagues, 3vs3 leagues etc, and we will miss this league as he ages out soon but my grandson now plays. Everyone gets to know you and your kids and it has been a safe and stable place in our son and now grandsons recreational time. I highly recommend SFYBL!!!
I paid $200 for one season of basketball, which was a shorter season that all of the other basketball programs seasons. It started out as two days a week (one day practice and one day a game), and quickly went down to one day a week - only a game. There are plenty of sports offered throughout the county at various locations that are a fraction of the price. $60 - $100 on average, two days a week with a longer season.
My son loves it. He is always talking about coach and that lets me know he is comfortable and happy with this program. The environment is amazing and supportive.
Absolute best basketball league in South Florida. I've had my three grand kids in I-9, JCC, YMCA and the Cooper City League. The South Florida league is all about teaching the right way to play basketball even if it's not the popular thing to do but it's also the most competitive league in the area. My sons team played against a local travel team who thought they were gonna crush our little youth league team that practices once a week and we beat them with one of our best players being a girl. You want to learn the right way to play basketball, this is the place to be.
Great program for youth basketball. My two boys have completed multiple seasons here. The coaches and director truly love the children very good experience!
