We booked this company as a vendor for an event. This was an event we paid for, per attendee. Our presenter Elizabeth was lovely, and worked really hard to help the attendees get their projects built. Where we ran into an issue was as follows: the kits were very dirty, and missing many pieces. We spent a large amount of time looking for pieces in the kits and in other kits to find what was needed- in many cases we needed to improvise. 2 of 10 motors would not start at all, after the project was already built, meaning 2 of our kids couldn’t test the robot they had just spent 2 hours building. They were understandably upset. Another 2 motors were stopping and starting and did not work well, though they turned on. Still, we finished the program and did the best we could with what we had. When we called Snapology right after the event, we initially spoke to someone who was very nice and apologized. We began the conversation by saying that Elizabeth was great, but that we had some concerns. After we explained what had happened (as stated above) we were met with an offer of either a full refund or free open play at their location. We chose the refund and thanked him for his time and care. Several minutes later, we got a call from the owner, Paul, who proceeded to speak in a nasty and condescending manner, stating things like “what else do you expect for $20?” And “do you want me to go out of business?”. He flat out refused a refund of any kind, and said the only thing he would offer us is free open play at their location. Let me stress that many other children’s programs like this are offered at less cost, and/or comparably, and are much much better quality. We did not ask for a full refund: we wanted to make sure they knew what was happening with their gear, and that the experience was sub-par, other than their presenter. We don’t deserve to be spoken to like this, and we don’t have to accept this kind of programming for our children. We will be sure to let others know about our experience as well.

Love this place!!!! Need more of them for our children. What a wonderful concept and my kids had a blast. They love building and this is the perfect activity to get them out of the house and a change of scenery. $15/hr per child is waaaaay worth your sanity. They are very nice here and there is so much for them to do here (and in air conditioning), not just building blocks. I can’t wait to bring them back and they can’t wait either.

We’re so happy we found Snapology Westbury! My 10-year-old is enrolled in the robotics and beginner coding program and absolutely loves it, he’s already talking about joining the FIRST LEGO® League this fall. The hands-on learning is incredible and way more engaging than anything he’s done in a classroom. What’s even better? My 3-year-old can tag along for open play! The STEAM activities are age-appropriate, creative, and actually hold his attention (which is saying a lot!). It’s such a win for both kids: screen-free, educational, and FUN. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Highly recommend to any Long Island families looking for something purposeful, active, and exciting for their kids.
