Powered by GoogleI recently signed up for a membership at the YMCA and have been extremely impressed so far. From the moment you walk in, you can tell the facility takes cleanliness seriously. The entire building is very clean, and the bathrooms were spotless and shiny, which really stood out. The staff were exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and professional. It was also great to see the housekeeping team actively working throughout the building to keep everything looking its best. For such a large facility, it is maintained extremely well. I also noticed that the sauna sitting area has recently been redone. It looks shiny, fresh, and practically brand new. It’s clear the team takes pride in maintaining and improving the property. I highly recommend the YMCA to anyone considering a membership. Kudos to the entire team for doing such a great job!
I love this gym. It’s clean, it’s organized, and lots to do. My only downfall is that the schedules are all over the place. I know staffing is an issue Nation wide, but the open swims, sauna times etc are inconvenient and make it hard to coordinate schedules with our already busy lives.
The gym is great as far as all the equipment and parts like pads being replaced every so often when they tear. My issue is the Sauna. It's nice that there is one, I don't like the placement being put where it's only accessible through the pool room. On top of that, the Sauna looks like it never gets taken apart and cleaned, at all. There is definitely mold/mildew growing near/on the base of the boards for the seating, looks like it's extending from underneath the overall seating area. The sauna is closed on Saturdays, so why not use that day to have a cleaning crew go in and bleach it and air it out at least once every 2 weeks?
i enjoy the facilities but the machines /weight need a deep cleaning or at lease the floors
My daughter is attending summer camp at the Shelby County YMCA this summer. She absolutely loves it. She loves that they’ve incorporated swimming two times a week, their curriculum changes from week to week, and the facility is spotless. We are so pleased with this summer camp and I highly recommend it!
