Wilderness-skills day camp on the Rocky Ripple peninsula in Indianapolis, between the White River and the canal, run by a nature-connection and survival-skills school. Campers ages 4-17 learn fire-making, wood splitting, plant identification, foraging, crafting, scouting, tracking and storytelling, mixed with swimming, climbing and games; camps are split into four age bands (4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-17), and the teen week adds primitive technology, survival skills and leadership mentoring. The academy also runs after-school and homeschool programs.

Although I would say that the majority of the group are not nature lovers, White Pine staff did a great job of keeping the kids engaged and interested. In the end, a good time was had by all. Their headquarters is an awesome place for the kids to let loose, climb, play, and take a turn on the rope swing.
