My oldest has been coming here since she was 3.5, and we could not ask for a better experience! They make sure that you have the right coach for your kids needs. They have a wide variety of scheduling options so I can find a class for now all 3 of our kids with ease! They've gone above and beyond to make sure we're always comfortable and our kids get the best experience!

Update: it’s been a month since my original post. I have seen some positive changes to solve the issues I listed below. Front desk is checking in about my kid. The owner acknowledged the issues and started to handle them. Happy to report that the class is a bit smaller, my guess is that a couple kiddos moved up to the next level class. The coach has offered a couple of new routines and the kiddos’ engagement is kept longer. The mood has improved overall. I have to admit that SGA is not as good as it used to be. I have seen this place grow into crowded classes, specially in young 2-3yrs old and 3-4yrs old. Coaches are at capacity and there are waiting list for 3-4 yrs olds. There are a few older kids in the 2-3yrs old that get bored a lot because this class is too easy and the waiting list for the next one is keeping them there. While the little ones are trying to learn new skills, they are not offered the quality training and direction to be able to grown their skills. Instead, front desk are sending parents to the their video recording to train kids at home. The gym equipment and the space is one luxury many parents don’t have and it’s very unfortunate the way this issue gets turned around onto parents. The last straw is when one of my kids was sick for a whole month, nobody cared to check in on their health status. It felt very transactional, and I shared this with the coach “I am disappointment that nobody care to call and inquire about. I don’t think anybody noticed her absence.” Although coach said she mentioned this to the front desk, I don’t believe it. Front desk is pretty responsive. The same morning I had this conversation with the coach I got a message from admin saying and I quote “ If you are expecting to miss a class, we appreciate advanced notice via email or phone, so that we may update your attendance records and inform your child's coach. While SGA does not offer in-person make-up classes or credits/refunds for missed classes, we have a few different options for your gymnast to stay active and continue their progress!” I am not surprised by the lack of support and understanding. Looking at other options for my kiddos.

We absolutely love SGA Burien! From the moment we joined, we’ve had such a positive experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming, supportive, and genuinely cares about each child’s growth and confidence. What really stands out is how involved they are in the community—it feels like more than just a program—it’s a place where families connect and kids truly thrive. The environment is encouraging, fun, and structured in a way that helps kids build both skills and character. Shoutout to Coach Taylor—we absolutely love her! She is amazing with the kids and makes such a positive impact. We’ve seen such a difference and couldn’t be happier with our experience. Highly recommend SGA Burien to any family looking for a supportive and engaging place for their kids!

Short story: We love SGA!! I started bringing my 8 year old daughter to another SGA location for indoor playground at just 16 months old and it was so amazing for her toddler coordination and development. We began classes at our neighborhood location in Burien in 2023 and have had such a great experience. My daughter began in level 1 and through her progression has had classes with Coach Odette, Coach Daegan, Coach Maddie and Coach Taylor. All have been so kind and encouraging while fostering my daughter’s growth and development. She has built so much strength and confidence in the last 3 years and we are so excited to now be on a team! We especially love that there are various offerings to enhance your gymnast’s learning. We’ve tried Gym Time, Day Camps, and Parents’ Night Out and all have been great and my kiddo says “2 thumbs up”. If you are looking for a gym for your kiddo I highly recommend this location!

Seattle Gymnastics Academy in Burien has been such a positive experience for our family. They helped introduce my daughter to gymnastics and continue to support her development in a thoughtful and encouraging way. What stands out most is how open the staff and coaches are to communication. They listen to parents and are willing to have constructive conversations about how to enhance the kids’ experience. I’ve never felt pushed away for having an opinion, which builds a lot of trust. It’s clear they care about both athlete development and creating a strong, supportive community.
