Backstage Dance Studio in Bellevue runs themed summer dance camps for ages 3-11 in three formats. Performing Arts Camps for ages 3-6 are three-day sessions (Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00am-1:00pm) built around a weekly theme; a half-day Dance Camp for ages 6-11 teaches hip hop and jazz with themed choreography, 9:00am-1:00pm; and a full-day 2 in 1 Dance & Gymnastics Camp for ages 6-11 runs 9:00am-5:00pm, with campers spending mornings at the studio and afternoons at Gymnastics East. Themes for 2026 include K-Pop Demon Hunters: Ultimate Idol Training Camp, Swiftie Summer and Fun in the Sun Dance Jam. The studio has operated in Bellevue for more than 40 years.

The annual shows are spectacular, though kids who take only a class or two appear on stage for just a short time. The triple threat instructor repels kids with her hot temper, but the rest are great, and the place is well run. I know a lot if the kids here, and they are well adjusted and a good influence.
