Seattle Gymnastics Academy's Ballard gym runs weekly summer gymnastics camps for ages 3 to 10 in a 22,000 sq ft facility. Campers do coach-led gymnastics on Olympic equipment including trampolines, foam pits and Tumbl Trak, plus games, crafts and team challenges; no gymnastics experience is needed. Full-day camp runs 8:30am to 4:00pm (7.5 hours, $751/week) and half-day sessions run 8:30am-12:00pm or 12:30pm-4:00pm (3.5 hours, $434/week); ages 3-4 may enroll in the half-day AM preschool session only, age 5 in a half-day session only, and ages 6-10 in either. Ballard sells weekly sessions only - unlike SGA's other gyms, it does not offer single-day enrollment.

Powered by GoogleI registered my kid for a week of their summer camp to the tune of $775, and less than two weeks later (still in February,) I called to cancel the registration. They're only going to give me an 80% refund. Honestly? Why am I even surprised. What an enormous grift and a huge letdown from an organization that I had thought well of up until now. Edit: They initially said they were going to take over the weekend to "consider" my request (and my honest appalled shock... couldn't have been the 1/5 rating I just left them) but instead they called back just now to tell me they were going to give me a full refund. All I can say is that for you reading this, be COMPLETELY SURE you're going to be able to attend anything you enroll your kid for there, since this seems to be their standard operating procedure. I'm not giving them any more stars for how condescending they were on the phone. You're not doing me a favor here - this is bare minimum business ettiquette and I'm still appalled.
My kid enjoys the indoor playground... when you can actually get in. They recently changed the online registration program to one of first come, first served... at least according to the website and the three emails they sent about the change. We showed up today and were told you can now call up to an hour ahead of time and reserve your spot, but none to worry because they still had space for us. But then while we were waiting in line to register, enough people had called in to reserve that there was no longer space for us and we had to leave. Come on people, do better. Looking forward to giving Tumbles up the street a try when they open next week. It shouldn't be so hard to find activities for our kids at places with clear procedures and competent leadership.
Birthdays at SGA is so FUN (and hassle free for adults)! Instructor-led play time and room all set up for cake and food. The staff here is extremely helpful and ofcourse wonderful with kids! Especially loved how they set up for a group photo at the end!
My oldest child is nonverbal and autistic. He has been attending classes at SGA since early 2022. He is currently enrolled in a special Olympics class (organized by the fabulous Coach Katelynn) for kids under 8 years old. We couldn't be happier. Coach Millie is amazing! We love our special little team! My middlest did learn & play together and my youngest will once he is old enough as well. The coaches are absolutely stupendous; Luke, Katie, Jack, are just some we've worked with and adore. The support and community here is just wonderful! I also volunteered with Coach Katelynn and Coach Elaine with their regular special Olympics program for a season and that is fantastic as well.
We had our toddler’s birthday party here. Great choice. The kids loved it but just as important the team there was AWESOME. They helped us set up the party room (and even helped us move stuff from the car) and were so good with the kids. Coach Harrison has awesome energy. If they ever saw a kid playing alone they went right in there and made sure the kid was having fun. They really know how to do birthdays and made it a really special one for our kid and all the other kids. Also super easy to park there. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you to the team for a wonderful experience as they helped make it. They were also very hygienic - making sure all the kids washed their hands before eating and helped us hand out pizza with gloves. They really thought of everything. Thank you!!!
