Our family has been a part of salvo for the past 7 years, starting at community where myself and my husband helped coach, which I give credit to all the parents that step up to be a coach, because many parents do not, to a travel team and elite. We have had a wonderful experience and it has been a joy watching my children grow and improve in their technical skills and their confidence in themselves. The staff is great at responding to emails as quickly as they can, which is impressive since many of them have their own families and a different day job that may take a lot of their time. If you are looking for a fun, challenging, family and community oriented soccer club, Salvo should be your number one choice.

We decided to try Salvo Soccer Club because we heard good things. It wasn't the same experience for us. You basically pay to run practices for your kids. They come up with lesson plans, training and have parents run the program. I understand this is a great business model for them. They give a discount for co-parent coaches of 50% and for a parent to run practices/games of 100%. Communication comes from email, phone and an app called Playmetrics. It wasn't very user-friendly (maybe because I was new to the app) and some communication was never received. Unless it was lightning, it was up to the coaches if practice was canceled due to weather. So, you have some coaches that stayed and others left. Consistency wasn't there. When communicating with a staff member who was the point of contact to return equipment, I received an email that stated they were at parent-teacher conferences for their job. Salvo should have someone as the point of contact available when it is the day to return equipment. We ended up missing our evening activities because we were sitting at the field waiting for a response (I tried email and Playmetrics). When we finally heard back, the message felt like it was generated by AI. Overall, I would recommend a program with more structure and consistent communication.

My daughter was a member of the 06 Salvo GA program during her high school years..... the leadership team (Delaney), suite of coaches (Danielle, Matt) were a tremendous asset for my daughter, not only as a soccer player but as a young adult. They mentored, held her accountable, provided personal growth, enhanced character, connected with and influenced her in ways a parent only hopes for their daughter being involved in a sport with aspirations of playing at the next level. A variety of variables and player/parent expectations exists for a program like Salvo with so many skill levels/teams/age groups (GA, Travel, In House) while managing an entire soccer program. The leadership team is always willing to have a productive and positive conversation to understand how they can be helpful to your player's journey. Understanding how "club" soccer works is not the sole responsibility of the club, parents must engage in the process, educate themselves to make the right choice for your player. Your experience, like ours, is only as good as the people you surround yourself with, the relationships you create, setting proper expectations while allowing the "club" to do what they do best, build soccer players, create confidence, enhance skills, increase soccer IQ..... If you're a helicopter or lawnmower parent or want to control every aspect of your child experience I wouldn't recommend joining, go ruin a different club's culture. Salvo is a great program with exceptional people at the helm who really do care about the players in their program.

My daughter has been with Salvo Soccer for 4 years, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s a competitive program that really challenges players to grow, but it’s also incredibly supportive and caring. The coaches are fantastic—they truly invest in the players both on and off the field. My daughter’s skills and soccer IQ have improved so much, and she’s become more confident and driven through her time here. She’s found her place on a great team of girls and always looks forward to practices and games. We’re so grateful to be part of such a positive and high-level soccer community. Highly recommend Salvo for any family looking for a strong, development-focused club!
