Sachem's Head Yacht Club runs a long-established junior sailing program on Long Island Sound in Guilford, enrolling about 90 sailors ages 6 to 16. Classes range from Sea Squirts and beginner sailing through adventure, intermediate, and Optimist and 420 racing. The eight-week season runs late June to mid-August in two-week blocks, with most sailors attending six weeks.
