Powered by GoogleRed Pine Camp is special. My daughter has attended for 8 summers and it is her happy place. She has amazing friends and has gained skills, confidence, a love of the outdoors, and independence. And she now knows she can survive 8 weeks without electronics! The setting is beautiful, the counselors are caring and great role models, and the memories and friendships are forever.
The camp is located on a spot where you get to see the most magical mornings and evening views, surrounded by beautiful nature and wild life. There is a lot of tradition and values in the spirit of camp. The director who runs it C.S. is warm-hearted and a true role model in leading and managing critical situations. The camp is an environment where children learn a bunch of new skills, develop lifelong friendships and manners, as they grow as a individual enormously. I went here as a riding instructor, because their riding program was on a high level and in the fuel diversityI believe a horse women should have, something I wanted to create myself. A riding school like no other. So maybe you would like to join on the staff team. Thats also a very powerful and enriching experience I could write a book about it... but the most important lesson it gave me was thankfulness and knowing my value.
Our experience with Red Pine has been amazing. My daughter was a first time camper and took part in the two week intro session. She returned home immediately more confident and, honestly, did not want to come home. Red Pine takes extra care of the younger campers to give them a good introduction to camping. The counselors were so sweet and actually wrote us letters to let us know how our child was doing. Even after summer camp ended, all her counselors wrote her a happy birthday card! This is a camp that aims to instill tradition, legacy, independence, and inclusivity. We originally intended for our daughter to only attend Red Pine for one summer because we were waitlisted for a more expensive camp in the local area. Our daughter was adamant that she wanted to return to RPC going forward. I’m glad we happened upon this camp and look forward to our daughter returning for many years.
Red Pine Camp on Clear Lake is just as special as it was when I attended. The Wittencamps vision for creating a camp for girls to teach them many outdoor skills as well as leadership teamwork, and social skills in a beautiful setting is well-preserved.
