Will desire to stay forever

The camp is generally well organized with nice staff running it. My 7 yr. old son attended the camp in Milton, MA during the summer of 2023. Yet, I stayed and watched some of the drills and scrimmages on multiple days. These drills were low quality, and the scrimmages were even worse. There was no skill attainment or insight into how the game should be viewed and played. The scrimmages were nothing more than backyard or playground free-for-alls. My son saw it for what it was and was relatively disengaged. He freely admitted that his coach and myself teach him more each one hour practice. The best value may have been that they practiced (albeit low quality exercises) for several hours in the hot summer sun. That training is of value, but I don’t need Real Madrid to provide that. Additionally, the kids wore no numbers or names on their jerseys, how a staff member could tell one from the other remains a mystery. They never appeared to learn the kids’ names. Finally, apparently 25-30 percent of kids might be selected to head to Madrid for further evaluation. Ha! That number is much too high! Top 5%, at most, might be realistic as to whom may have serious skills warranting a further look. Still, the staff really wasn’t engaged enough to conduct any serious evaluation. All in all, this camp is ostensibly about making money. It’s not a serious skill development camp. Not at all! I’ll find something legitimate next summer.
