Rayado is a backcountry camp on Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America high-adventure base near Cimarron, New Mexico, currently used as a trail camp during restoration of its historic Rayado Lodge. Crews stay here as part of multi-day backpacking treks across Philmont's Sangre de Cristo terrain. It serves registered Scouts and Venturers who are 14, or who have completed 8th grade and are at least 13. This is an overnight wilderness trek, not a drop-off day camp.

This is where scout go for Nyale training.
A nice and wonderful campsite especially if your attending one of the many training opportunities that Philmont Scout Ranch has to offer. Very serine and beautiful morning and evening views with the sunrise and setting each day. The accommodations are in a camp setting so the tents there a standard BSA issue however unlike the Main Camp at Philmont Training Center these do not have electrical to them. The main outdoor Ramada easily holds 100 plus for sessions and provides great covering from the weather, which at Philmont can be different at each moment all day long.
