Ram Island Yacht Club, based in Noank on the Mystic River, runs an 8-week junior sailing program for children ages 6–16 across classes organized by age and skill, from an Intro to Sailing for ages 6–8 through competitive racing fleets. Sailors must pass a swim test, and classes are open to members and non-member children sponsored by a member.
