★Kasey and Cassandra MaloneThis location has been abhorrent. This YMCA cannot operate its normal functions with integrity. Pickup games happen at Y's all over the Metro... Downtown, Bonner Springs, North Kansas City, etc, but they cannot maintain an open court. There is no way families in this community should be paying full price for a Y membership if this is their base Y. Incredibly weak and disappointing. Basketball court is closed when the kids are most available to play. Basketball court is closed on the weekends. Basketball court is closed randomly during day when kids are out of school, etc. Wasted real estate. First they started with No pick up games, i.e. only allowing patrons to go in and only shoot around, etc. Could not even scrimmage 1 on 1. Misleading use of the Y brand, and this location should ashamed of how it is executing the Y mission. Sad.
★Maria Oesterlei-McHenryThe volunteers they have at this location is a joke! They are rude and pick who they will let in out of the 12 degree weather. When I filed a complaint I was told they are volunteering and we have crowd controll issues. DIDNT ADDRESS THIS WITH THE PERSON JUST TOLD ME TO DEAL WITH HER! The employee and volunteer are friends as it seems so shes just covering for her friends how professional!

This last little group got my youngest to pass his swim test. The cutest little thing. We all on the sidelines gooooo!!! The front desk, thank you ☺️
