Powered by GoogleAkilah has great customer service at the entry/front desk. Very welcoming and always so nice! We need more Akilah’s in the customer care.
Very clean with great staff. I've only been there once so far but when I got there it was very busy even at 06:30 AM Friday morning. There are only two rowing machines in the entire gym afaik and both of them were in use when I got there. There were like twenty treadmills, half not being used and only two rowing machines... That's my main issue. And the facility is smaller than other community centers I've been to. No walking track. The pool looks tiny. Edit: I also want to add that I was pleasantly surprised they had a great selection of free weights including bench and squat rack. I was expecting a Smith Machine for some reason.
Best Y in the metro! Always clean and plenty of workout equipment to choose from. Great place to work out, shoot hoops, and swim. Come up if you want to hoop and get balled on by a group of 30+ year olds. Be sure to say hello to Miss Carter on your way in!
Its clean, the equipment all works well, it isn't too busy, everyone is friendly, it has all of the facilities I need in a gym, classes, etc. I also needed access to a pool for triathlon training. It's conveniently located near my house and an affordable price. My wife belongs to another gym in the neighborhood that she likes going to for her regular workouts. However, the incremental price increase to add a spouse was reasonable enough that I added her and she's now able to use the pool or do yoga/HIIT classes a couple of times a month if she wants. My only complaint is how warm the pool is for swimming laps. If you want to swim for more than 30 minutes, you're burning up.
My family belonged to this location almost fifteen years ago. I am very impressed by the updated building, equipment, and other resources. I have visited at least 10 times within the past two weeks, early in the morning and late evening. Each time I have been extended a warm greeting accompanied by a smile! The locker/shower/restrooms have been clean with a pleasant smell, every single time. I have been able to utilize the treadmills, stationary bikes, and weights without waiting each time I've visited. The entire facility is well lit, clean, capacious, and the mood is jovial. Children and adults are able to enjoy this interactive facility in harmony! Today the staff rearranged and added new equipment to the main area!
