I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible transformation I've witnessed in my son since enrolling him in Anastasia Williams' basketball training sessions back in January. As a newcomer to the sport with no prior experience, my son was facing an uphill battle trying to keep up with his more advanced teammates. However, Anastasia's expertise, patience, and dedication shone through from day one. In just five months, she has not only taught him the fundamentals of basketball but has also instilled in him a newfound confidence that extends far beyond the court. Anastasia's meticulous attention to detail and ability to pinpoint and correct my son's form have been nothing short of remarkable. From mastering the basics of dribbling and shooting to executing flawless crossovers and layups, my son has developed into an impressive player under her guidance. March 18, 2024, I had tried to report my suspicions about Premier Basketball possible children's neglect to a New York State Agency to investigate my claims. There is no agency to report them too. That is because they are considered a Specific Skill Building Children's Program. They do not qualify to be a camp and do not need a permit from the Department of Health. Camps suspected of Child Abuse or Neglect can be reported to the Department of Health. The laws were written so long ago when it was common for most kids to play outside in their neighborhoods and the only Specific Skill Building Programs were children sport leagues (i.e., little league). Typically in Sport Leagues , parents accompany their children to practices and games. On March 5, 2024 at 12:30pm, After I had finished writing the below paragraphs, as a courtesy, I called Premier Basketball to tell them what I had just wrote. I believe I was talking to Rob Pavinelli, Director of Premier Basketball. I politely explained why I called and thank him for listening, he just replied "Thank you have a great day!". Please think twice before sending your kids to this facility! As of March 5, 2024. Premier Basketball has not reached out to me to set up a time where I can come by so the Director of Basketball, Anastasia, can apologize to me and discuss the matter further. I wrote this to inform Premier Basketball and the readers of the is review that I reported this incident to the New York State Attorney General's Office. File No. 24-012603. In the event, which I wish, hope and pray never happens, a child collapses or get sick from dehydration and it was because Premier Sport failed to check if the child was hydrating, the New York Attorney General has on record, that there was at least another child that Premier Basketball did not check to see if they were hydrating. On February 21, 2024, I took my son to a basketball camp and encountered a series of concerning incidents that highlighted the camp's negligence and the incompetence of its staff, particularly Anastasia, the Director of Basketball. Initially, my son forgot his water bottle, but Anastasia assured me he could drink from the snack bar and I could settle the bill later. However, at 12:30 pm, my son texted me, saying he hadn't been able to drink at all. When I called the camp, another staff member, Daren, quickly provided him with a Gatorade. Upon pickup at 3 pm, I raised my concerns with a manager named Joe. Anastasia, apparently unaware of the earlier conversation, claimed she had told my son he could drink from the snack bar. When I asked my son in front of them, he denied being informed. Anastasia's response was dismissive and absurd, suggesting that if my son couldn't recognize his own thirst, the camp wasn't suitable for him. The conversation deteriorated further, with Anastasia accusing me of calling her a bad mother, a claim I vehemently deny making. Another staff member mentioned a rule about parents supplying water, which was news to me and irrelevant to the issue at hand. One of my primary concerns is how the camp ensures children stay hydrated, especially since some kids may not feel thirsty even when they are dehydrated. Anastasia's response, that kids drink when they're thirsty, showed a lack of understanding of dehydration. It's well-known that children, especially when engaged in physical activities, may not always recognize their thirst or may not feel thirsty until they are already dehydrated. Despite these issues, my son enjoyed the camp, and I found Joe and Daren to be reasonable and helpful. However, Anastasia's behavior was unprofessional and concerning. Her inability to address simple questions about hydration and her unfounded accusations raise serious doubts about her suitability for her role. Overall, the camp's handling of this situation was disappointing and raises significant doubts about their ability to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care. If they wish to address these issues, I am open to discussing them further.

My daughter recently discovered her love for basketball. She wanted to catch up to her peers so I searched for a place to send her over Presidents week break. She had her first game Monday night after the break and we and her coach were astonished how much she learned and how it helped her confidence. Additionally, she loved going there. Highly recommend Premier Basketball.
