I have absolutely enjoyed my experience at these private tennis courts. Yes, they are open to the public, but only if the high school is not using them for our children (and there are signs up saying this). The high school coaches are extremely kind and informative about which courts are available and when, if you get the guts to ask them. As far as the paint colors, I find them a tranquil blue and gray that helps my Zen (which isn't always easy, lol).

In response to some of the reviews, if you want to ask why the courts are sometimes locked I would suggest contacting one of the coaches. Perhaps it's because there has been so much trash left as to why the courts have been locked. I do know they have had a lot of problems with the public leaving trash consistently at the facility. Additionally, they are not public courts in any way, form or fashion. This is a school facility that the public is allowed to use as a courtesy. As for the color of the courts, there are many other courts in the area that are not gray if you would like to play there instead.

Tonight we tried out the Plano West High School tennis courts. So far, the best public courts we have played on yet. 8 courts separated as 2 each. Each set of two have their own lights switch. The lights offer plenty of light for nighttime tennis. The courts are quality hard courts that offer good bounce and fast play. We will definitely go hit on these courts again.

Very well maintained Public Tennis courts with very good lights to play during the night as well. Plenty of parking available.

These are fantastic public courts; they dry out really quickly with no perceptible wet spots to be rolled off. Also there are several wood boards to warm up by hitting balls at. The courts are two tone make in out calls easily made on baseline.
