Perfect Performance is a youth sports training institute in Tysons/Vienna that runs four-day summer Speed Camps and Strength Camps for rising 3rd through 12th graders. Speed Camp covers running mechanics, footwork, acceleration and change of direction and meets Monday-Thursday, either 10:00am-11:00am or 5:00pm-6:00pm; Strength Camp meets 11:00am-12:00pm or 6:00pm-7:00pm on the same weeks in late June, July and early August, at $165 per camp. These are one-hour-a-day training blocks rather than a full-day camp. The facility also runs year-round sport-specific academies in football, baseball, softball, lacrosse and field hockey, plus club teams and leagues.

Powered by GoogleThis organization is set up on taking money from parents. They set up what they make to believe is a tryout in which they take $25 from everyone. Then send everyone that tried out a letter as if they made the team only to go on and pay another $800 or more on top of jersey fees when they already have there starting team. After you pay the fees and make it seem you have actually made the team you show up to realize everyone that tried out is actually there but only very few get to play. The coaches come off as they have been super successful but then after researching realize they only have been successful at scamming parents out of money then making it seem like your child is not good enough after first making them seem like they actually made the team after tryouts once they have your money they then tell you more then 70 percent of the kids not going to play. This organization is a joke I’m glad I was able to speak to other organizations and get true insight of this league. Head coach is a joke!
Perfect Performance has been an absolute game-changer for my two sons, Joe (14) and Liam (12), who have been training here for over three years—primarily for baseball and speed/strength development. From day one, the professionalism, passion, and expertise of Leonard and his staff have stood out. This isn’t just a training facility; it’s a complete athlete development platform designed to elevate athletes of all ages to their highest potential. One of the things that truly sets Perfect Performance apart is the caliber of its staff—many of whom are former professional athletes. The knowledge and experience they bring to each session is unmatched. There’s something incredibly inspiring about walking into the facility and seeing current Division 1 athletes training alongside younger athletes—it motivates everyone in the room to give their best effort. The training programs are comprehensive and well-rounded, incorporating not just physical development like strength, speed, and agility, but also essential elements like sports psychology and nutrition. The position-specific and sport-specific training (especially in baseball for us) is top-tier, and it’s clear that every coach is deeply invested in each athlete’s progress. Perfect Performance truly meets athletes where they are, while pushing them to where they want to be. It’s not just about improving performance on the field—it’s about instilling life-long values like discipline, focus, and perseverance. Whether your athlete is just starting out or aiming for a college scholarship (or beyond), this is the kind of environment that supports and drives excellence. Highly recommend to any parent or athlete looking for elite-level training and development. Perfect Performance lives up to its name.
The league changed ownership to Perfect Performance causing inconsistencies and focusing on profitable margins. The last two seasons were horrific. The game dates were changed, cancelled games for rain, change of locations numerous times, uniforms were delayed and the overall communication was lacking any empathy for the players, parents and families wanting to engage in games. I would not recommend, try an alternative league. We were with NFL flag football for six seasons and it was good until Perfect Performance took over. Find a league that cares more about the players than the money involved. My review would have been different a year ago.
Perfect Performance is hands down one of the best training facilities I’ve ever been to. The moment you walk in, you can feel the energy. It’s a place where athletes at all levels are pushing themselves to get better. The coaches are incredible, they don’t just throw generic workouts at you, they really take the time to understand your goals and help you improve in a way that makes sense for you. I’ve seen huge improvements, not just physically but in my confidence and mindset too. It’s not just a gym, it’s a community that pushes you, supports you, and helps you reach your full potential.
All of our 4 kids have trained/worked out at Perfect Performance at one point or another in the past 10 years and for a variety of sports. So far, two of them decided to continue their sports at the college level. Currently our youngest son is participating in the speed and strength training 3x a week for general fitness purposes, and it’s been great. Leonard and his staff have consistently provided excellent training and coaching for our family in general fitness, baseball, lacrosse, football and dryland training for swimming and diving. Having a positive and supportive environment (that’s specifically geared for kids) to be encouraged regarding physical fitness is huge in today’s screen centered world. We are huge fans of Leonard and Perfect Performance!
