Pelham YMCA
Private
The Pelham YMCA runs a summer day camp on the YMCA of Greater Birmingham's open-programming model, where campers choose from the day's games, crafts and activities rather than moving as a fixed group. Cost is a $79 non-refundable registration fee plus about $196 a week for members and $221 for non-members, with registration open online through the Thursday before each week of care. Camper ages and daily hours are not stated on the pages reviewed.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Pelham YMCA directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleSmith machine and cables dont work properly. Many other things in the gym need an updated def missing the alabaster ymca :/ convenience and upkeep were much better.
Terrible gym equipment . Terrible layout. Super sad they closed the alabaster ymca. Much better layout inside and out w the pool. Much nicer staff. And much cleaner. Pelham should've been shut down not alabaster . This is a disgrace
Love the classes and instructors. For older adults I recommend the Silver Sneakers class and water fitness. I'm at the Y at least 4 times a week. My last physical the Dr. said he needs to do all the workouts I do.
The Pelham Y is a great place to go! We love the pools and personally I love the group ex classes. The group ex room has plenty of space. I visit the other area YMCAs occasionally too, and they are great also but Pelham is the place to be!
Great experience, the staff was super friendly and gave me a very good tour. Love the inside and outside pool. Ive had a good experience at eveey location with staff, instructors and members. I also love that if they dont know, they help you find out. But i havent had a bunch of unknowledgeable staff member experiences. Worth every penny:)
