The Paul Derda Recreation Center is a City and County of Broomfield facility with an indoor aquatic park featuring a lazy river, water slides, a warm-water therapy pool and zero-depth entry, plus basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor track, a climbing wall, a kids zone with indoor playground and a game room. Broomfield Recreation's Palooza half-day drop-in camp uses this center for its Wednesday swim days, but the camp is a city-wide program rather than a camp based at this facility.

This recreation center has it all. The indoor pool has slides, waterfalls, a lap pool area and two hot tubs. The place has so much more. Its huge and was a great delight.

Love this place. Always friendly, cost is good for non-residents. Lots of options for activities, i.e. basketball courts, weightroom, big swimming pool. Also lots of classes available. I take my kids to the pool a lot. 2 slides, lazy river, lap pool. They also have what my family calls the, "warm tub." It is a hot tub just a bit warmer than the pool that is great for kids. That means the real hot tub is adults only! Game changer, love it. It does get busy, but had great hours. Check it out!

Paul Derda Recreation Center in Broomfield is fantastic! The facilities are clean, modern, and well-maintained. There’s something for everyone—fitness equipment, classes, and plenty of space to stay active. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. Great atmosphere and a wonderful community spot—I love coming here!

We have been going to the pool at Paul Derda for decades and usually have a good time. Unfortunately within the past year or so the water quality has progressively declined. The smell from chloramines has become so intense it was almost unbearable on our visit today. The family hot tub was unusable from the sting to our eyes. Several family members left with burning eyes including one of whom never even entered the pool. I think we will be taking a break from this pool and exploring other options.

They should tell you at the entrance that only half the basketball court is available. It was packed and nit fun to shoot around. They also should let kids 12 and up get in the hot tub with an adult. But it's a fun place either way
