It's just a big Park that offers everything for kids and adults

A great place for the community to meet and enjoy both learning and the pursuit of physical fitness. The staff is kind and earnest. They provide many important community services such as free meals for children, nutrition education, and information about public services. The building is not in great shape and needs investment by the city, as there have been things like gas leaks and false fire alarms, so hopefully these structural issues can be resolved to help the rec center shine. New pool is opening soon, and everyone is excited to make use of this important community facility. They would benefit from hiring more Spanish speaking staff, due to the fact that they serve a population of many Spanish speakers who miss out on some of the opportunities at the center when they are not aware of what is available. Overall, the rec center is a gem and an incredible force for good in their community.

This is a nice park most of the time. Sometimes you get vagrants and drunks on the outskirts of the park but they never come close to the play-scape or the kids. I've been bringing my kids here for 8 years and I've never had a problem. It's a great place to bring the kids after school or on the weekends so that they can interact with other children from the neighborhood. The park also has a public grill and pavillion for small cookouts and get togethers.
