It seems that some of the folks leaving a review don't understand what "volunteer" means. Nearly everyone that runs this does so out of the goodness of their hearts and a love for the game exclusively. Please ignore the comments from angry parents who don't contribute to anything beyond what will inflate their own damaged egos. And if you happen to be one of these individuals - I would encourage you to consider the impact you are having on your child. Maturity is caught not taught - along with character and other good things we should want for our kids. Thanks Pacific SC for all of your hard "volunteered" efforts. Much appreciated.

Take note that this is for Pacific SC (rec level) and not Pacific FC (competitive level). Pacific SC has the same issues of all rec level soccer clubs in the area, lack of volunteers. Sometimes there are no refs but there is also a ref shortage in the area (parents should take a hard look at how they are treating refs these days)....so shortage of refs is across all clubs, even the competitive levels. It also takes a bit to get the schedule and you sometimes only get half BUT that is because they want to be able to switch around who your team plays against for the second half of the season if there are some teams that are more advanced than the other teams, instead of having the less advanced teams constantly getting creamed or the more advanced teams not getting adequate competition. After the first half of the games are played and they are able to look at final scores, they can move the teams around for the second half of the season and send out the schedule. Because of this, other rec clubs in the area also don't get the whole schedule, but that is a decision between all of the rec clubs and not the decision of just Pacific SC. Just assume that you will have a game at some point on Saturday and you will have 1-2 Friday night games per season.

Our experience with this league has been positive. Yes, there are at times coordination issues, refs not available for games at times which was frustrating. The coordinators have been supportive, the coaches great and the families participating have been the best we've played with, overall. I'm happy my child can participate in this league. The volunteer and ref issues need to be resolved and I'm not sure exactly who that falls on. Volunteer organizations always have their frustrations. Thank you to all who put in time to make this one work as well as it does!

This is the only soccer league we have been a part of but I must say there are issues for the last four seasons. From not enough volunteer coaches, to too many volunteer coaches so people that want to can't. From poorly planned games schedules (double headers for our team on several occasions in one season) to the generous volunteer coaches not getting schedules, line-ups and shirts until the last minute. If so many people are participating in the league, can't the fees go to hiring more staff to have better organization? I wonder what the problems are arising out of because there are a lot of families that would benefit from this being better run. Sorry to say but there are issues.

Unfortunately, it does not allow me to give zero stars. Absolute worst! This is our second year and it’s been drastically worse. So unorganized. No jerseys for the first three games. No schedule until less than a week out - oh and it was only half of the season. We get the second half barely a week out from the next game. Pacific soccer club is a JOKE and they need to get it together. Will not be bringing my son back.
