Our grandson is going to the summer program at Stokesdale UMC for his 2nd year. He loves Ms. Vivian and her staff and never complains about going to learn and have fun. They truly care about the kiddos and pour into them lovingly while maintaining discipline and control. They are such a blessing to these kids.

Excellent program for middle school students, something to consider for next summer. Highly recommend. To Ms. Sidbury, excellent leadership along with the staff. Keep up the wonderful work that you guys are doing.

Poor communication from directors. Having the staff give parents vital information that effects both the student and the parent. Uncertain of the own regulations that are governed by federal funding.

Great program! The Executive Director, Charlene Gladney, is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children, who are struggling academically -- specifically in the areas of math and science. The staff, which includes both paid and volunteer teachers and tutors, provide each child the individual attention and assistance they need to tackle math and science curricula. Children seem to thrive in this caring environment and, as a result, grades and self esteem have noticeably improved. Students are able to attend the program as long as there is a need. Operation Xcel also runs a summer enrichment camp which builds upon prior learning.
