My children and I loved this Science Museum! There were so many fun activities to do and some of them we even did two or three times. We loved that the show in the dome was included in the admission because at Discovery Place they charge extra for those shows. They had the butterfly exhibit set up when we visited and I was a little disappointed because in the past when we've done it at the Catawba Science Center you could spray water on your hand or finger to let the butterflies land on you but they have a rule here that you can't touch the butterflies. It was still nice to see but not the full experience I was expecting with that. Otherwise, it was well worth the drive and the admission fee. Side note: If you have Medicaid or SNAP there is a big discount on the admission fee. I think it was $7 for adults and $6 for children. All I did was show my driver's license and SNAP card to get the discount.

We took the train from Cary (for the kids) then the bus to the science center. The science center is a fantastic combination of a zoo and aquarium. You can pet manta rays, play in a treehouse playground and see a zoo animal hospital. Lots of unique animals. Cafe available for lunch and clean bathrooms. Lots of free parking as well.

We recently visited the Greensboro Science Center and had a wonderful experience as a family. My son absolutely loved seeing all the animals—especially watching them up close and learning interesting facts about them. The exhibits were engaging and very well organized, which made it exciting for kids and adults alike. What made the visit even more special was the combination of animals and science. The science exhibits were interactive and educational, helping children learn while having fun. My son was curious and excited throughout the visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable for us as parents. Another pleasant surprise was the food. After walking around and exploring, it was great to enjoy some really yummy food at the center. It was a perfect break before continuing the rest of the visit. Overall, it was a fantastic place for a family outing. It offers a great mix of education, fun, and good food. My son had an amazing time, and we are definitely looking forward to visiting again! 🐒🦁🔬🍔

This is an amazing place for kids to explore, and adults will certainly enjoy it too! The highlight was definitely the zoo section, especially the tiger and other cat family animals. The kids loved the hands-on experience of touching the cownose rays and viewing the aquarium and dinosaur displays. The Tree House Adventure is excellent for both young and smaller children. We regret missing the reptile section due to an early holiday closure, but we highly recommend a visit. The minimal entry fee makes this a great value

This is a real gem as it combines a zoo, aquarium, & museum all in one. The zoo has everything from tigers to flamingos to (my favorite) a red panda. There is also a farm area & a big tractor that kids always enjoy. There is a great playground in the middle of the outdoor area. In the aquarium there is an area where you can touch the stingrays. There is a nice indoor play room for kids 8 & under as well. So many different things to see & do. Well worth the money/drive if you're not from Greensboro. At Christmas they have tons of lovely decorations too. Parking is easy/free. Plenty of clean restrooms throughout.
