My daughter recently started attending this school, and this place has been nothing short of life‑changing for her. She originally joined using a gift card, and I wasn’t sure how she would adjust. She is very shy, quiet, and reserved. She also has her own unique sense of style, so I didn’t know how comfortable she would feel walking into a new environment. At first, she was scared — I stayed in the lobby her entire first class. But by her third class, she was walking in on her own. The teachers and staff have been so warm, patient, and welcoming that she told me one day, “I think I found my people.” Hearing that brought tears to my eyes. She still has her quiet nature, but she is slowly coming out of her shell because she feels safe and accepted here. She calls her classes her “therapy time.” She loves the teachers, the atmosphere, and even attended teen night — something she never would have done before. This is a little girl who used to ask me to speak for her. Now she walks in confidently and comes out smiling. And as a parent, I appreciate how seriously they take safety — they don’t let any child leave the building until they see the parent. They truly protect the kids and make them feel at home. I am so grateful for this school. They didn’t just teach her art — they gave her a community, confidence, and a place where she feels she belongs.

Very friendly and positive atmosphere, however $375 dollars for 5 days , a total of not even 15 hour class, my son came home with a drawing on only a piece of white paper. I feel should have something to show after spending that much, like a canvas ,but a learning experience for my son. Do not think will sign up again.

I can’t say enough great things about One River Englewood and the teachers/people who work there. My son loves art and drawing and I had been looking for somewhere to bring him for art classes. My friend suggested we try out One River, and since we hadn’t heard of it before, we called and asked if my son would be able try out a class. They scheduled a class for us a few days later! He is a little on the shy side, so he was nervous to go… but from the moment we walked in the door, we immediately felt welcomed into a warm and friendly environment. From the first class, my son loved his teacher Miss Erica. We signed up immediately after that first class. He’s also taken classes with Miss Shannon, who he also adores! They’re both so encouraging, kind, and he’s learned so much. He’s in the Art Shuffle class which we love since it exposes him to so many types of media. He’s grown so much as an artist in the seven months we’ve been there. I also need to mention the amazing people who work there, including the owners Shannon and Shayla, Valentina who is there the days my son has class, and Erica his teacher… and I’m sure everyone else who works there is equally incredible. They all encourage each kiddo to be themselves and express that through their artwork. They are welcoming and make us feel like family each time we’re there. They have been very accommodating when my son has been sick and we needed to reschedule. They host a various camps on days off of school, spring breaks, summer, etc. which my son really enjoyed. And they do wonderful things for the community (this month they have a Kindness Project display in the Garden State Plaza to support Autism Awareness). We’re so proud to be a part of this community. One River has been such a positive bright spot in our lives and we look forward to class each week. So grateful to have found them! Highly recommend checking them out to see how great they are firsthand!

My family absolutely loves One River School Englewood! My child has been in the Art Shuffle class for a year, has also done a few camps, and participated in the gallery shows.. overall wonderful atmosphere, caring staff, and fun projects. My child is looking forward to taking digital classes later this year, so happy we found One River!

One of my daughters has been going to One River for two years and my other daughter has just joined her. They absolutely love the class and their teachers. They are excited to go every week and I love seeing their creations. I especially love the student art shows and when they have different events (movie nights, etc.)for the students-so much fun!
