Incredible club. Outstanding instruction, highly-competitive play coupled with coaches investing in kid's lives. The culture here creates kids who compete aggressively on the field and also develops an aggressive/winning/sportsman mindset. We've seen physicality and skills taught at a high level across our kid's teams. Most impressive, kids are taught to play and compete through their faith in Christ. The best coaches don't myopically focus on short-term winning. The world's top coaches and sports franchises focus on long-term development of complete athletes- physical, mental, spirit. Upon moving to Cincy, we were fortunate to find this OnGoal/Passion club instructing with this shared philosophy. The byproduct...kids compete hard, take care of each other, respect their opponents, have tons of fun and play to win. And they win. Club is founder led (former pro player).

This soccer club is special. Not only do they train young people the skills needed to be successful on the soccer field, but also teach them how to love God and love people in the process. On Goal, a.k.a. Passion FC and Cincinnati Spirit/Fire (women & men’s) High School teams. There are so many great things to say about this club and the folks behind it. The most important being the Christian influence that genuinely fosters player relationship with God, their teammates, their parents, and their coaches. You don’t have to be born-again for this enriching experience and you won’t compromise competitiveness in-spite of all the love being spread. Practices don’t just end with a hollow chant and everyone goes about their business. All practices and games end with a short prayer appropriate for the day. At the beginning of Spirit High School games, it’s not uncommon to see players in pairs put their hands on each other’s shoulders, and internally, say a short prayer on their teammate’s behalf. Nothing is overdone, but rather perfect in letting our children know that they are loved far beyond our own families. In spite the challenges posed by COVID in 2020, it was a most enjoyable/successful Fall season for our girls. In addition to playing Passion FC during the regular season, one of our daughters plays Spirit Varsity as a Junior and the other played JV as a ‘trapped’ 8th grader. The Varsity season was spectacular with a record of 12-4-0 and none of the losses were blowouts. This season included a strong showing against a former D3 State Champion and a first-ever win against the JV of a former D1 State Champion. Perhaps best thing about this season was the absence of ‘burnout’. Players don’t train 4-5 days a week through the season and twice per day during the summer. The 2-3 days/week of high-quality training has been perfect for balancing other activities without sacrificing competitiveness. This is especially important if your student takes multiple AP/Honors courses and wrestles with the stress of balancing study with the commitment-level commonly required by traditional high school programs. Having watched my daughter play two seasons of high-school ball, I confidently say that this club reflects higher quality training and a more well-rounded style of play. Rather than developing an over-dependence upon player fitness and scoring from set-pieces, you will find that most Cincinnati Spirit goals are scored in open-play by cooperative players with remarkable ball-handling skills. I could tell you what some of the ‘secret sauce’ is, but that would be giving away competitive advantage . As a Dad, the ‘icing on the cake’ was perhaps the annual Father/Daughter Formal that the club puts on each year. It was wonderful, and very thoughtfully, put together. It was the first time that I had the opportunity to trade hoodie/jeans for more formal attire and share a dance with both of my daughters. Overall, this is a first-rate club in everything that it does, from player development to the manner in-which everyone associated with it conducts themselves. ‘Thank you!’ On Goal Directors and coaching staff for all you do.
