NOVA of Virginia Aquatics is a Richmond swim organization running year-round learn-to-swim lessons, stroke school, a competitive team and adult masters programs across two indoor sites; the Gayton Road location has two 25-meter pools built in 1996 and 2005. Its published youth offerings are ongoing classes plus a six-session spring clinic for summer-league swimmers ages 6-14, one hour per session between 3:00 and 5:00pm. The organization's own site lists no summer camp program, although third-party directories list it as one.

Powered by GoogleI has been coming to this pool for over 8 years now, love the staff, coaches and guards. Water chemicals always on point and no chloramine to irritate your eyes like the other pools around here. Looking for indoor pool and coach's to get better at swimming? Look no further.
With three children, I have been taking one or multiple kids to swim lessons at Nova for several years now. I travel a long distance, but it is worth it as they are the best in the area. My kids have all learned to swim so well and have loved their instructors. Everyone is so nice and accommodating, from the front office to the lifeguards. My kids have also participated in the spring clinics, and everyone was so wonderful with them. I feel so lucky to have had such a wonderful resource in this area for my kids to learn a life saving skill.
We had a bad experience with the front desk/administration. Very unaccomodating when our son didn’t want to move back to a class they had already transferred him out of, while openly saying they grant the ‘exception’ to others. Overall probably an understandable situation if the employee would have been friendly but she was condescending and rude. We even said ‘we’d try again in the fall’ to which she responded that we will lose our spot and there’s no chance of getting into the level my son had been doing very well with.
My daughter just started swim lessons at Nova, and we absolutely love it! The staff and coaches are phenomenal! Everyone is so sweet and kind, while also maintaining a perfect level of professionalism. My daughter has had 5 lessons so far, and I can already see improvement! I am very excited to continue our journey with Nova!
Nova is a large, very well-designed swim center. It has two pools and a swim shop. The Masters program here is particularly good!
