Traveled by boat on Saturday evening for dinner with friends. My wife has been sick with stomach issues ever since. She had a burger with fries Apparently she was infected with parasites and is on meds to resolve her stomach issues. This is a person that seldom gets sick. She hasn’t been able to digest any food normally since our meal at the Miles River Yacht Club. I had crab cakes with fries. I too had diarrhea after returning home but felt better the following day. Not sure what’s going on in the kitchen but it’s not good!!!

We stayed at the Miles River YC this Labor Day weekend. The clubhouse, the pool and Izzy’s are all immaculate and inviting. We ate dinner at the club and it was as equally delicious as it was to look at. I generally take a pic of food that exquisite but I ate it so fast it didn’t get snapped. We can’t wait to go back and get to know the members a little more and enjoy a little bit of St Michaels.

I was recently a guest at the Miles River Yacht Club for a two-day sailing regatta. MRYC leadership and staff were wonderful hosts, and the facilities and amenities are great. In addition to running an excellent regatta, highlights were: food, pool, and a tow in from the Vice Commodore when the wind died halfway through racing Sunday. A very enjoyable time!

Beautiful location and good food. Docking was easy. A call to for a water taxi into town makes for a nice ride around St Michaels. This 100 year old yacht club is well maintained and well managed.

This venue and team was perfection. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Miles River Yacht Club on 10/05/2019 and it was PERFECT. Every single aspect was perfect. Brook DaCosta was the wedding coordinator of the MRYC who helped us pull off the wedding of our dreams. There are not enough words to describe the vital role Brook played in making our wedding the best day of our lives. When we first went to meet Brook and tour the area where the weddings are held, we instantly knew we wanted to work with her. Brook is caring, professional, organized, down to earth, and calming in stressful situations (like weddings). We had our ceremony in the yard of the yacht club that overlooks the river and a dock of lovely boats. We had the most perfect weather and a gorgeous background for our nuptials. Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside on the paved area where they still had a spectacular view. Our wedding reception was held inside MRYC in a beautiful room with a dance floor, endless views, and a mahogany bar. The room’s walls consisted of windows to allow guests to continue looking out at the fantastic views MRYC has to offer. Our wedding reception consisted of 120 people and everyone was comfortable. The dance floor was a perfect size with an elevated ceiling with lights above. Our food was served in the trophy room which was right out the door past the grand piano. Our guests still rave about how delicious the food was! Brook met with us a few weeks before the wedding to have a food tasting to decide on what we would serve our guests. Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious! It made it hard to narrow down our choices, but that’s a problem we were more than happy to have! Brook even set up an awesome s’mores bar outside by the fire pit which was a hit with our guests on the Fall evening. Out of all the great and memorable things Brook did for us throughout our wedding planning process- we cannot believe how incredible her decorating skills are!! We dropped off boxes of decorations to her the day before and briefly went over what vision we had. The next day Brook had the entire place transformed into more than we could have ever dreamed of!! The day after the wedding Brook even had everything we brought boxed up and ready to go for us. We planned our wedding in 4 months and we truly believe we could not have done it without the help and guidance of Brook! She helped us answer questions that were not even directly related to the venue. The day of went smoother than we could have imagine- and that was because of Brook and her team! Brook became our family that day- we truly appreciate every moment she spent ensuring our day was the best it could be. Our wedding surpassed anything we could have hoped for and we owe that to the hard work of our vendors and the team at Miles River Yacht Club. St. Michaels is such a beautiful town. We loved visiting there before the wedding and will continue to hold the town close to our heart. Miles River Yacht Club not only comes with a spectacular view, but it comes with a hardworking, dedicated team to help any event go off wonderfully. We highly recommend other brides and grooms to check out Miles River Yacht club to make their wedding dreams come true!!
