The Midwest City branch of the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City runs the Y's summer day camp, where children ages 4–12 spend weeks on sports, arts and crafts, STEAM projects and swimming. Families can enroll for a single week or the whole summer, and financial assistance is available. The Y is a Christian-principled nonprofit.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Midwest City YMCA directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleThe building is old, the floor plan sucks, it's ugly. It's clean, all the weights are properly put away. The weight room is an actual weight room with barbells, heavy dumbbells (125), benches. Only one machine, the leg press. Squat racks are sturdy with great bars, (at least one was a Texas power bar) There are heavy kettlebells (50) pairs, plenty of pull-up bars, and lots of space. This is how all the YMCA gyms should be. It reminds me of an old school gym you would find on a Marine Corps base. My normal Y is Earlywine. While it looks nice, the gym is over crowded with a ton of fad and influencer stuff. This gym is hands over fists better than Earlywine and Norman.
Very disappointing!! My sister and I visited the YMCA on May 13, 2026 to speak with someone about removing someone from our account. We walked in and the two ladies at the desk were busy with two families. We stood there for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement and while the line grew going out the door. When we stepped back from the line to allow other members to stand inside the lobby from the front doors, we saw another young lady on the right side of the desk sitting and not asking members to come to her. My sister and I walked to the young lady and asked if she was also helping. She replied, "Well that's why i said welcome in" with an attitude. From my knowledge of social cues and interactions, saying "welcome in" does not equate to saying "i can help you over here". Regardless of her rudeness, we informed her of our reason for visiting. We explain we needed to remove an individual from our account and replace them with the additional adult that was already on our account. The young lady reluctantly "processed" our request and we followed up to ask if the secondary credit card listed would be removed. She confirmed the individual and the additional credit card was removed. My sister called the next day (May 14, 2026) and spoke with someone to confirm our request for removal had processed as the young lady the day before was not very reassuring and acted as if she did not want to be there. The person we spoke to on May 14th confirmed that both the individual and card had been removed. However, come May 15th my sister was charged the regular family member fee plus an extra $25! My sister called on 5/21/26 and informed another individual who found that the young lady from May 13th did not process the request correctly, only "hid" the individual, removed the secondary credit card, and did not send the new amount for just the family member charge to billing. The individual on the phone corrected the information and stated they would refund the $25 as it was an error made by the young lady. This YMCA is unfortunately unprofessional and staff lack training on how to properly support members. This is sad as this is the YMCA closet to my home, but i will not be returning as the staff made me and my sister feel disrespected, unintelligent, and a nuisance. The young lady from May 13th around 3pm-4pm needs to be reprimanded and retrained!
My son did summer camp there last year and has been there for a few vacation care days. He absolutely loved it. The staff communicated with me directly and worked with his emotions very well. We’ve already seen the schedule of activities for this year and he’s very excited!
This is the most laid back, fun, wonderful place there is to be. They have so many activities that people can do on the daily and it's forever changing with activities. The staff are amazing. So kind and welcoming. They are very helpful and knowledgeable
I have been a member of the MWC Y since 1986 joined to make some changes in my life style. I have met a lot of good people and some are very close friends. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. I know the Y provides a lot of good services for adults and children. The MWC YMCA has been a blessing for me and the community.
