This place has been here a while. And you can tell. It’s a bit older, and it doesn’t have the best machines. But it’s my closest YMCA to me so beggars can’t be choosers. But the staff are amazing and I make what I can of the workout equipment. It don’t have to look pretty, as long as I still get a workout on is what matters I guess. Three out of five stars is only because the workout equipment is old and the place is old. But the people are nice.

Great deal for seniors. Most of the staff are friendly and accommodating for seniors and I love your coffee ☕. Thanks for the blood pressure machine! I appreciated talking to Brian about making more times in the day to accommodate lap swimming! I just wish that you would set aside a lap for swimming sometimes during the aqua swim for even it 15 minutes of lap swimming would be great. Thank you so much for allowing extra hours for lap swimming but it's frustrating that often I can't swim laps until 10 am . The other day water aerobics finished early at 930 And lifeguard wouldn't allow me to swim so the pool was unused for half an hour. I don't understand why You can't set up a lane for 2 or 3 swimmers to share when other activities demand to use the whole pool. Tuesday and Thursday are the only times available at 8am for walking and swimming. There were two others swimming laps using up one side of the pool. There were 2 walkers and one man standing in the middle of the pool so I had to swim around him every lap. Instead the rude lifeguard told me to watch where I was swimming and he keeps calling me "boss". I feel intimidated to The reason I joined y was to swim laps. Time to go swimming is ao almost had accident backing up from disability parking. fortunately i backup very slowly but there are very fast young impatient drivers whogo around the corners very fast. I could not see him or her and they slammed on the horn almost giving me a stroke. Maybe you could ask patrons to drive slower in the parking lot because seniors don't have the reflexesb Of younger aggressive drivers. It's an accident waiting to happen. Thank you.

Ok so, here goes. I just joined and visited a couple different ones with this one being the last and decided to bring my teen with me. First off, this gym has one room with mostly treadmills. I remember back when this was Aspen and there was equipment EVERYWHERE. this looks like you shoved everything in one room and called it good. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the lady who helped give me the pool table stuff was super nice. The rest of the staff, you either need retrained or dont get paid enough because the rudeness is crazy work for customer service positions. I waited at the desk for at least 10 minutes while the two younger employees chit chatted before even acknowledging me. This place is so bad I went to a different ymca to sign up so I didnt have to deal with those people. I dont know if the owner actually reads these but if you do, I suggest getting a new set of employees minus the 1, or youre probably gonna lose out to the cheaper gyms that have better customer service.

Disappointing Experience at YMCA Rockwell OKC I had a very frustrating experience at the YMCA Rockwell location. I was on the elliptical, using my phone to text a quick message, when I was approached by a female staff member. She singled me out and told me I couldn’t use my phone while exercising. I understand that there are rules, but it felt like I was being unfairly targeted. The gym was practically empty. I have observed other people on machines around me texting or scrolling social media and no one else seemed to be given the same treatment. It’s disappointing to feel singled out for something as minor as texting while working out, especially when it doesn’t impact anyone else. The staff should be more consistent in enforcing rules and should not be making members feel uncomfortable or unwelcome over trivial matters. I hope the management addresses this issue, as I was a paying member and expect to be treated with respect. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I’m seriously reconsidering my membership.

Great facility that the YMCA has here at Rockwell Plaza. I’ve been a member for a few weeks and I’ve been treated very well. I got the family membership so my kids can use the pool or they can go to child watch while I work out! Plus they have all these community events like Pancakes with Santa, Family Fun night, and more!
