Merrick Theatre and Center for the Arts runs a six-week summer theatre camp for ages 9 and up, meeting 1:00-4:00pm from early July to mid-August, in which campers work as a company of actors, singers, and dancers toward a fully staged musical with costumes, props, sets, and headshots and three public performances. Shorter two-week camps cover vocal, dance, and acting basics through Broadway numbers and scenes - one for ages 6-8 and one for ages 9-12. The theatre also presents musicals, plays, cabarets, and children's theatre. Posted tuition for the six-week camp is $1,450.
