The Melwood Recreation Center is a 108-acre property in Nanjemoy that hosts Camp Accomplish, an inclusive camp run by the nonprofit Melwood with Children's National Hospital for kids and teens with disabilities and chronic health conditions. Day camp serves ages 5-18 and overnight camp ages 8-18, with swimming, a climbing wall and ropes courses, archery, canoeing, horseback riding, sports, creative arts, campfires and talent shows. Need-based financial aid is available and there is no extra charge when a camper needs additional support, including 1:1 assistance.
