Camp St Charles
Private
Catholic overnight camp for children ages 6-13, operating since 1952 on a wooded peninsula between Charleston Creek and the Wicomico River in Newburg. Campers stay one or two weeks and take part in swimming, horseback riding, archery, riflery, boating, tubing, canoeing, fishing, a ropes course, sports, arts and crafts and environmental education. The camp is faith-based but explicitly welcomes children of other faiths, and the property doubles as a retreat center in fall and spring.

Powered by GoogleGreat experience for our son & friends who attended several summers.
The absolute best camp! My boys just went for the 3rd year in a row and opted for the 2 week session this time. I love hearing stories of their adventures and new friends when they get home. It's a very traditional camp - no electronics and tons of outdoor activities. Quality people with good values - fantastic staff and campers. My boys have never had stories of crazy behavior or mean counselors or kids at camp. They come home with big smiles and happy memories, couldn't ask for a better camp experience for them.
Loved it. Before the internet, kids had fun hanging out with other kids and talking. Lots of activities. The horses, pool, and skull island trips are the best.
My son has been going for 5 years and loves it! So many activities in a secure and safe environment with kids from good families. He has made so many friends and looks forward to being a counselor one day! 5 stars!
My son went there for several years. This camp is professionally managed and you can trust them with your children. Post pictures regularly and excellent communication with staff. The waterfront location provides an incredible educational and recreational experience for all ages. Horses, goats, rabits, a pool, and an awesome zip line.
