Overnight camp on 320 acres in Nanjemoy, Charles County, serving children and young adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Solo Camp is a week for campers ages 6-16 living with diabetes, who practice diabetes self-care skills while canoeing, swimming in a renovated pool, doing archery, playing on a water slide and slip 'n slide, and taking part in arts, crafts and games; separate weeks add a Family Camp and a week where campers may bring a sibling. Directors, counselors and nurses are on site for the full session, with counselors sleeping in the cabins.
