Powered by GoogleI have loved rediscovering the love of pottery at the Mckinney Art House! I started taking a weekly class with Diya Kalia as my teacher and she helped guide me through each step of the pottery making process. She has a wealth of knowledge in creating functional ceramics and she encourages each student to create what comes most naturally to them. In the past, I have experienced art teachers that only know one way to create, Diya is wonderful at problem solving and helping teach techniques that suit individual students. I would highly recommend taking a pottery class at Mckinney Art House and especially get to know Diay Kalia.
My husband decided to take me on a date night surprise! If instagram is making you watch the reels and you are wondering, that means you need to try it ones. Kathrine Parris is the best instructor for that first try, she is so patient and passionate about the teaching class. The clay molds make you close to the Mother Earth! Absolutely love everything about the experience!
Wendolin was absolutely fantastic. She made the metal sand casting class so very much fun and educational. Recommend 10/10! My fiancé and I did it today on valentines. We had a blast!
We had a great experience making ceramic pieces at McKinney Art House for our date night. Katherine was so sweet and did amazing in providing us instructions on how to make awesome pieces. I’m looking forward to coming back and perfecting my skills with the wheel. They provide classes for adults and children! McKinney Art House is the place to be!
We did sand casting for a date night, and the process was much simpler and more approachable than we expected. We walked away with beautiful custom pendants and keychains that we designed ourselves and got to wear out right away. Wendolin is truly a treasure. She explains everything clearly, makes the whole experience feel safe and welcoming, and ensures you never feel lost during the process. On top of that, she shared meaningful stories about her journey and what inspires her work, which made the experience even more special. This was such a memorable and creative experience—I’ll definitely be back with my parents and also for another specialty project she’s helping me plan. Highly, highly recommend!
