A Joyful Mess
Private
Themed art summer camps at A Joyful Mess Art Studio in downtown Prosper, run by certified art educators. Campers create projects around weekly themes (space, dream houses, rainforest, plus advanced themes for tweens and teens) and take home hand-crafted pieces. Sessions run Monday-Thursday in half-day blocks (9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm), about 20 kids per camp.

Powered by GoogleMy daughter just finished Mermaid Camp and had an absolute blast! The teacher and assistant were incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging, making every child feel welcome and supported. She made new friends and came home each day excited to show us the amazing artwork she created. I was so impressed by the variety of projects and mediums they explored throughout the week. My daughter has also taken classes during the school year, and she has loved every minute of those as well. The studio does a wonderful job fostering creativity while building confidence and a love of art. We are so grateful for the positive experiences she’s had here and can’t wait to sign up for more classes and camps in the future!
Our son has been in the homeschool class for going on three years and absolutely loves the class and Ms. Ruthann. Highly recommend the classes, it includes some art history components as well as the art creation. He’s always excited to tell me what what artist he learned out and what the discussion included. Our boys have also done camps here over the summer and always ask to go back! The staff loves what they do and it really shows!
There are a few gems in the community and A Joyful Mess is one of them. My daughter has basically grown up with Joyful Mess art classes. For the past five years, she has enjoyed evening art classes, school break classes, summer camps, home school classes, and of course her birthday party. She has made a variety of projects; using a variety of different art materials. We have them around our home. The teachers are AMAZING! The environment is clean, safe, and friendly. The children love using their creativity to make their master pieces. I love the location..down town Prosper. During classes, I've enjoyed dinner at the Gin, a coffee at 1418 coffee shop, and walking around downtown. Most importantly, she has wonderful memories of her art classes and can't wait for next year's class!
We love this studio! We started with the Mommy & Me classes and now attend the homeschool class. Ruthann is an amazing teacher and it’s a highlight of their week learning about a wide variety of artists and exploring new art mediums and processes.
My daughter LOVES her weekly art class! She is producing a variety of art and everything she comes home with is beautiful. We will continue with classes for a long time!
