Powered by GoogleWe have had a wonderful experience at KinderCare and are so grateful for the nurturing, attentive, and engaging environment they provide for our daughter. It is clear that the teachers genuinely care about the children and work hard to create a place where they can learn, grow, and have fun. A special thank you to Jill, the Director, who has been exceptional. She truly cares about the kids and puts a great deal of time and effort into ensuring they have fun, meaningful activities and experiences. What I appreciate most is her communication and transparency. She has consistently kept parents informed about illnesses affecting both children and teachers, which has given us confidence and peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend McCandless KinderCare to anyone looking for a clean, well-run facility with a team who genuinely cares about the children.
It has officially been 3 years since enrolling our son with Kindercare, so I think it’s about time to write a review about our experience so far. We are incredibly grateful for the care and dedication shown by the entire team at this daycare. The teachers are compassionate, kind, and genuinely invested in our son’s growth and development. The directors listen, our voices are heard regarding the well being of our children, and concerns are addressed promptly and with the best solution in mind. With each transition to a new room, we are reassured that he continues to thrive in a safe environment, and we continue to be impressed with the teachers in each room. We have noticed the positive impact the school has had on our son as he continues to grow, learn, and gain confidence to take next steps. In addition to all of this, Kindercare has provided us with a community in which we feel we truly belong, and we feel safe knowing the care that is being provided for our son in the moments that we cannot. I highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a place where children are truly valued, supported, and safe.
Excellent facility. We enrolled our son shortly after he was born and have had nothing but extremely positive experiences. As with any childcare facility in demand, things come up, but we have never found an issue that the staff did not successfully navigate beyond expectation. Inquiries and concerns are always handled immediately and with a proactive approach. The teachers we have had over the years have been wonderful. The faces change but the care does not. The attention to the children, the learning the children experience, and the quality of the facility are great. Our child has also made several friends that we see outside of the school. It is a real community. We love it. They also do fun things for holidays. We were on a waitlist for a moment, but it was worth it. Shoutout to Jill for putting 150% every day to make sure our children are as safe and loved as they are at home.
DO NOT ENROLL YOUR FAMILY HERE Our daughter started KinderCare McCandless shortly after birth in 2024. At the beginning of our attendance, we had little issues. She then transitioned from Infants to Toddler rooms. Shortly after transitioning into the toddler room, she was bitten several times to include her shoulder, wrist, arm and even the corner of her eye. Each incident left my daughter with visible teeth marks on her skin which were documented by photographs from the daycare center. When asked why our daughter was being bitten as much and if the other child was being addressed, we were told they were handling it. Our daughter was not walking yet and our concern was that she was a sitting target for this other child to bite at whims notice. With two teachers being present in these rooms, how was our daughter being attacked this much in close succession? Through our time at this location, we went through NUMEROUS teachers due to a high staff turn over. It was abundantly clear that the management was a prime factor in this area. Either teachers were not being managed, applicants were not aware of the pay situation or simply saw something behind the curtains that made them leave within a short stay. On top of this all, this center seems to constantly ask for volunteers to keep your child at home. We work in fields that do not allow us to simply call off work because our daycare center can't figure out their staffing issue. Friends from multiple other daycare centers were horrified by the number of times we have received requests to keep our child home for a discounted rate. That discounted rate does not account for the loss in pay due to calling off work. Since we have been at KinderCare McCandless, we have received requests OVER 24 TIMES. More recently from 8/25 to present, they requested over 19 times alone, with November and December being once a week! There is no excuse at this point. They simply CAN NOT manage their facility and as this has been an ongoing issue, its clear it remains to be a management issue. Put bluntly, DO NOT rely on this facility to be a consistent childcare option for your family. The amount of money you'll spend for them to constantly ask for volunteers to keep your child at home last minute is simply not worth it. Our family is beyond excited to move to another daycare facility who are absolutely disgusted and appalled by the issues we have raised.
Kindercare McCandless was such a memorable and positive experience for my son. Everyone in the building from the director, to the teachers, to the chef all enjoy working with kids. Jill, the director, clearly communicates all changes and challenges going on at the center. She organizes so many fun events for the kids and genuinely cares so much for everyone in the building. So many of the teachers have made a lasting impression on my son who moves to Kindergarten this week.
