Loudoun Soccer runs summer day camps at Loudoun Soccer Park in Leesburg for ages 6-12 (grades 1-6), running 9am-1pm with an optional extended session from 1pm-4pm of less-strenuous activities like arts and crafts, water games and board games. Weekly themes include a soccer-focused camp, Kick & Code, multi-sport, an Arsenal FC camp and new boys-only and girls-only weeks. Separate rec summer camps serve ages 3-12 at multiple locations, and the club also lists a summer residential camp and a college ID camp for older players.

★★Summer AllenMid-grade club that is about generating revenue. You’ll see an abundance of marketing that uses phrases like “elite level coaching” and “elite coaches” but the program overall is nothing more than a glorified recreational league. The travel program costs around $5k (club fees, camps, uniforms, mandatory hotel fees, coach’s reimbursement) for our son’s “regional” travel team. Our coach missed several games, often without notice, canceled several practices at the last minute or with no notice. We showed up to the field multiple times to learn practice was canceled after we arrived. During practices we never had “elite coaching.” Our coach spent a lot of time on his cell phone and the boys scrimmaged for the entirety of most practices. Sometimes parents would run practices or jump in to help and try to give the kids something different or challenging. The boys were very defeated and unmotivated by the middle of the season. My son wanted to stop going to practices because “all we do is scrimmage.” We feel like we lost an entire year of development to this program. At the middle point of the season, I reached out to the boys travel director and sent an email expressing my concerns. I never received a response of any kind. Other parents, including the team manager, also reached out and did not receive any response. There might be “elite” coaching, training, or tournament opportunities at the highest level of the league (NVA, ECNL) but this is an absolute waste of money for a regular travel player. Look for better run and smaller programs that are still dedicated to player development, teaching kids the game, and improving their technical skills. Even the camps are oversold for the level of instruction and training the kids gets. The “training” camps are also a lot scrimmages and little focus on skills training.
★★★★★DamianThis is the best soccer team in Northern Virginia and in Loudoun County. It is also the most expensive and if your child does not show any talent or wheel for playing soccer he’s not gonna get accepted on the trials. Coaches are payed well , enjoying what they do and the kids are fantastic listeners too. Parking is large and plentiful.
