Life Time Allen runs kids summer camp at its athletic club, along with spring-break, school-break and after-school programs. Campers ages 4 to 5 focus on movement and hands-on creativity, while ages 6 to 13 spend each day on active and creative programming. The club also runs Kids Academy child care for junior members from 3 months old (up to 2.5 hours a day), kid-sized 30-minute fitness classes for ages 5-8 and 9-13, progressive classes in gymnastics/tumbling, basketball, dance and martial arts, progressive swim lessons through swim team, and a complimentary Parents' Night Out for ages 4-13.

Powered by GoogleThis gym is excellent for general workout purposes, such as weightlifting and cardio. The pools are also well-maintained and nice. Over the last several years, however, the amenities that make the membership fees anywhere close to reasonable have been ruined. The rock climbing wall seems to be closed 95% of the time. What used to be 6 full basketball courts is now 1. Lifetime is the only gym in my vicinity that has racquetball courts, which is a huge selling point for me. They used to have 4, but now have 1. The kids also use the singular racquetball court during the day, at which points there are 0 racquetball courts. All of these factors give off the impression that customers are not the priority anymore. At the very least, Lifetime has kind, helpful staff, and a long list of helpful amenities. For most people, these complaints that I have are not major issues. But for me, the value I get in being a member has drastically decreased.
Great quality service. Love that they treat you like you belong and life family. Life Time operates more like a complete wellness ecosystem than a traditional gym. It supports physical health, recovery, and long-term lifestyle structure all in one place. There’s a noticeable culture of discipline and self-improvement, making it feel aligned with people who take their well-being seriously.
We have had a 5-person family membership at Life Time Allen for over two years. The primary reason we joined — and have continued paying a premium membership — is for our daughters’ swim training. My older daughter is a professional swimmer and coach, and she trains my 9-year-old daughter three times per week. For the past two years, there has never been an issue. Out of nowhere, a manager approached them at the pool and began aggressively confronting them, raising his voice and ultimately kicking them out because my 9-year-old was “not allowed” to swim there due to her age. My wife was present as well. Instead of handling the situation respectfully and professionally, the manager chose to escalate it publicly. My 9-year-old daughter was terrified. She had a panic reaction, started crying, and experienced anxiety from being confronted and removed in such an aggressive manner. No child should be treated that way — especially in front of her family. If this is truly your policy, where has the enforcement been for the past two years? Why was this handled in such a hostile and humiliating way instead of with basic human decency? We are not upset about rules. We are upset about how this was handled — the tone, the aggression, and the complete lack of professionalism. As a result, you have lost our family’s five memberships, and we will be sharing this experience with other families in the community. Very disappointed in the management and the way this situation was handled.
My family of 3 joined 2 weeks ago and so far it has been a wonderful experience. The gym is very clean and the staff is amazing. Only piece of advice is that if you chose to do private lessons like Pilates, stretching, or private trainer, don’t sign up for too many at a time because you can’t cancel them and get a refund. I didn’t know that and it was not explained well. You can add later as you need them.
Absolutely love coming to this gym, and a big reason why is Os Ortiz! He’s always so welcoming, smiling, and genuinely kind every single time I walk in. His positive energy makes the gym feel comfortable and motivating, and it truly doesn’t go unnoticed. Customer service like this makes a huge difference—thank you for always being so friendly and making everyone feel at home! Huge shout out to OS ORTIZ!
