Life Lab is a nonprofit garden-science program that runs an outdoor summer day camp for children ages 7-10 at its Garden Classroom on the UC Santa Cruz Farm. Campers plant seeds, explore the farm and gardens, make farm-fresh snacks, and do nature activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with optional extended care to 5 p.m. Fees use an income-based sliding scale, keeping the long-running program accessible.
