Powered by GoogleLansmans Day Camp is a treasured haven that’s been weaving magic into summers for decades. As a former camper myself, and now watching my kids thrive there, I can attest to its enduring charm. This old-school camp proves that simple, back-to-basics fun creates an experience far richer than any high-tech, gadget-filled modern camp with all the bells and whistles. The counselors are the soul of Lansmans—warm, fun, and dedicated to making every moment special. Their infectious energy and genuine care create a nurturing space where kids feel free to be themselves, sparking joy and confidence. My daughter comes home bubbling with stories of their playful skits or thoughtful encouragement, just as I did years ago. The community here is extraordinary. The families are kind and welcoming, forming a tight-knit bond that feels like an extended family. Parents connect effortlessly at drop-off or pick-up, sharing laughs and stories, many of whom are former campers themselves. This sense of belonging elevates Lansmans beyond a typical camp—it’s a home away from home. What sets Lansmans apart is its commitment to simple, unplugged fun, which outshines the flashy attractions of newer camps. Instead of screens or high-tech gadgets, kids dive into classic activities like sports, relay races, shade games, drama and sing-alongs, and hands-on crafts. This stripped-down approach fosters creativity, teamwork, and pure joy, letting kids savor the moment without distractions. The programming is vibrant and switches weekly, keeping kids engaged with a mix of sports, arts, and nature adventures. The trips are carefully chosen—thoughtful, age-appropriate, and endlessly fun, like visits to local farms or splash parks that leave kids buzzing with excitement. Lunch options are a practical bonus, offering varied, kid-friendly meals that cater to different needs, ensuring my kids are fueled for their adventures. Lansmans Day Camp may lack the glitz of modern facilities, but its simplicity is its superpower. By focusing on connection, creativity, and good old-fashioned fun, it delivers an authentic, heartwarming experience that other camps can’t match. It’s a place where kids flourish, friendships grow, and memories last a lifetime. I’m overjoyed to share this nostalgic yet vibrant camp with my family and wholeheartedly recommend it to families seeking a truly special summer for their kids.
LDC is the best! My son looks forward to camp all year. At the end of the day, he is exhausted in the best way. He’s active all day between swim (both instructional and play), kickball, Gaga ball, tennis, 9-square, newcomb and more. He loves his friends (most of whom have been in the same group the last 6 years) and tries his hardest each week to win the coveted “camper of the week” reward. The staff is warm and welcoming and we feel great knowing he’s in such good hands all day. Truly an amazing place for kids to get a well rounded, fun summer!
My daughter loves her summers at Lansmans Day Camp both as a camper and now as a counselor. She decided sleepaway camp was not for her after a few summers and went to Lansmans day camp. She loved that she could have all her favorite things like colorwar , swimming , tennis and special event days. She made great friends and looks forward to each summer !
Lansman’s Day Camp is an absolute gem! The strong sense of tradition and community makes it feel like a second home. My kids come home happy, confident, and full of stories — it’s everything you want in a summer camp!
Our family has loved Lansman's Day Camp for the past 13 years! My teenagers work as counselors now and my little guy is a camper. He loves playing ball, swimming, art, and hanging out with his friends and the counselors. My 2 kids who are counselors love spending the day outdoors with their adorable campers and their friends. Everyone's most favorite week of camp is Color War! The traditions and feelings of nostalgia are strong here at Lansman's! Our family also has a bungalow on the grounds, so it's especially awesome that we don't have to drive them anywhere all summer (pinch me, I'm dreaming lol)
