Great park! Some of the play areas need some updating

Great place for personal and family time. There are many options to choose from concerning recreational sports and activities. The Water/Splash Pad is a favorite among many. The concession stand and ice stand has wonderful and delicious food. I love this park!

The location is next to the community College and a pond where geese congregate. Very convenient for residents and athletic opportunities for families.

When other rec centers are closed or don't open until 2:00 (to 5:00pm)on Sunday, Kiwanis Rec Center is open from 8:00 (to 10:00pm) which works great when you have kids to entertain on a weekend. They are in the process of building another playground on the premises. The water splash pad is good reprieve from the heat in the summer, but usually, it is pretty crowded. I have never had an issue with the staff. When we've had to participate in sports activities, they're always helpful. There is handicap parking, ample sidewalks/walking trails, and automatic doors, but aside from the splash pad, the park equipment isn't truly handicap friendly (1 swing).

Nice park area. They have a pavilion and grill of hot want to grill out while the kids play. The splash pad is really nice too. Lots of spray items to play in the water with. Really great for the little ones.
