KWhen other rec centers are closed or don't open until 2:00 (to 5:00pm)on Sunday, Kiwanis Rec Center is open from 8:00 (to 10:00pm) which works great when you have kids to entertain on a weekend. They are in the process of building another playground on the premises. The water splash pad is good reprieve from the heat in the summer, but usually, it is pretty crowded. I have never had an issue with the staff. When we've had to participate in sports activities, they're always helpful. There is handicap parking, ample sidewalks/walking trails, and automatic doors, but aside from the splash pad, the park equipment isn't truly handicap friendly (1 swing).
