Powered by GoogleAs a mom in several parent groups, I saw a few negative reviews about KidOvation Stage and almost let it stop me from enrolling my kids. But after 10 years in the game, not every parent is going to be happy — and I’m honestly glad I formed my own opinion instead of listening to one angry comment. My experience was the COMPLETE opposite. My kids were excited every single morning, came home happy, and genuinely felt cared for. The staff was warm, attentive, creative, and communicative throughout winter camp and spring camp, and we’re honestly looking forward to being back all summer. It also seems like there have been positive changes in leadership and structure over time because the program we experienced felt organized, intentional, and full of heart. And honestly? I’ll choose a program serving 20–25 kids with real attention and connection over a camp trying to manage 100 kids any day. That smaller environment made a HUGE difference for my family. It honestly upsets me seeing a program that pours so much into children and families get torn down publicly when so many of us had beautiful experiences. For our family, KidOvation has been a blessing.
We are a long term partner of KidOvation Stage and it has been a wonderful experience. I was a little iffy because of some of the negative reviews but after taking a closer look, I realized no review was about safety, fun, care of programming. All negative reviews were about refunds. While I totally understand that. If you sign up for a service and then decide you no longer want it that is not an issue a small business should have to manage the waiver states no refunds. I read a review on yelp that stated amazing programming but I needed a refund for a day and they didn’t get back to us. I suggest make your own decision and read reviews also be aware that this company has been around for 11 years and only bad reviews started to occur in 2023. I think people can be harsh and if you don’t know what running a business is like you should be a little more cautious about the way you comment. I am a school director and partner and we love a black owned business that has incredibly nurturing and caring staff. They care for the kids deeply
As both a parent and a therapist, I can honestly say KidOvation Stage was a breath of fresh air for our family this summer. My three kids (ages 3, 7, and 9) all attended for the first time, and I was truly impressed by the plethora of activities tailored to each age group. From creative arts to hands-on learning, there was always something engaging and meaningful for them to do. The lessons were thoughtful, the instructors were warm and skilled, and the environment felt both loving and safe — something that’s incredibly important to me. My middle child struggles with severe anxiety, and when I asked if I could stay and observe one day, the team welcomed it without hesitation. That level of openness and care really stood out. The staff seems to work very well together and have a genuine rapport with the kids. I did have one small concern early on with a particular instructor who came across as a bit rigid and overly stern. I brought it to the owner’s attention, and by the following week, the issue had been addressed — which showed me they take feedback seriously. Overall, I highly recommend KidOvation Stage. The smaller class sizes, nurturing atmosphere, and attentive leadership made all the difference. We’ve already signed up for the winter session, and my kids can’t wait to go back!
My son has been going to KidOvation camps for several years now and our experience has always been good. He's not a big talker so I can't really tell you if the day to day activities match up but I do know when I pick him up he is tired and happy. Just this morning as I was taking him to school he told me he missed camp, haha. The team is wonderful, loving and caring and professional. They are actually educators and you can tell in the quality of care.
We’ve been attending this summer camp for years, and it continues to be an absolutely incredible experience for our family. The staff is caring, creative, and truly engaged with the kids. My child came home excited every single day, and the joy was obvious. One of the highlights this year was an amazing Trolls project—so much creativity went into it, and it really showed! I also loved getting daily updates, photos, and animated videos. It gave me such peace of mind and let me see all the fun and learning happening behind the scenes. As a small business owner myself, I find it upsetting to see negative reviews based solely on refund policies—especially when those policies are clearly stated as non-refundable. The real measure of a place like this is the quality of care and enrichment they provide, and in that regard, this camp goes above and beyond. Not every experience will be perfect for everyone, but ours has been consistently wonderful. Highly recommend!
