Infinity Arts Academy runs four two-week performing arts camp sessions each summer for ages 7–17, teaching foundations in theatre and film alongside music, dance and acting. Each session is themed and ends with a cabaret-style stage performance plus a short film in which campers work as actors or crew. Camp meets Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm at the academy’s Chicago studio. Two teen-only intensives for ages 13–17 go further — one produces original short films written, edited and directed by the teens, the other rehearses a fully produced Shakespeare production performed at Stage 773.

Ms Dana and her team are fabulous. Students discover their love for theatre and film and grow their talents, but they also learn so much about themselves along the way. IAA creates a positive and caring community that stays connected, truly one of a kind.

Every performer has a place at IAA, the high production values of their many shows and staff of working actors makes this a perfect place for students who desire to be working theatre professionals. The costume, set, etc designers are all local professionals and final performances are at Stage 773 (big shows are at “The Thrust”, which holds 150+ patrons), one of the most popular venues for live performance in the whole city (again, according to some metric I can’t remember, Chicago is the 2nd biggest theatre city in the U.S after NYC, for scale!). Yet, rehearsals at IAA are incredibly low pressure, even auditions are pretty non competitive, as everyone gets a role in the show and Ms. Dana puts a lot of time and effort into selecting roles that an actor may not see themselves in, but that will do the most to help them learn and grow as a performer and a person. The community at IAA is incredible, Ms. Dana, Ms. Kara and the entire staff are amazing at providing you everything you need to succeed inside and outside the performance realm. I have also met some of the smartest, kindest, hardest working people in the world. It is so common for teenagers in particular to be super competitive and catty in a theatre environment (the “diva” cliche) as well as on social media, but I have experienced very little of that from my cast mates. Rather, I recently followed one of my cast mates from our June 2019 production of Les Mis on Instagram, where she made 2-3 sentence specific compliments about each of 37+ members of our cast. I have only done 2 IAA shows as of today, but I would recommend anyone try it out. Going into my senior year of high school, I see that my experiences here have shaped a lot of what I want in life and have set me up to succeed. Join our cult! Thank you IAA Sem

We love IAA and are so happy that we found this hidden gem with such talented staff members which keeps my active and creative son intrigue & spouting with on going growth into the natural performer he is and wants to become. They know how to hon in on the special skills of each child and even ones with special needs. Love how you handle "TURBO E", my overly excitable, energetic son. We do summer camps, dance and various programs throughout the year. We have tried other theatre /drama camps -- but nothing compares to the quality that IAA offers. Thank you Infinity Arts Academy. My daughter (13) has basically found her voice with Ms Dana and Ms O - and I mean that in many ways. Not only has she been exposed and trained in musical theater, dance, film, and stage combat - but she now has a safe, expressive, home away from home. She has made many of her best friends at IAA while cultivating her skills and talents - discovered the discipline and hard work necessary to bring a creative vision to life - AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! The teachers are nurturing but the bar is set high and the kids deliver and through that balance of inspiration and expectation the kids thrive. Highly recommend.

Ms. Dana and Ms. O have been second (and third!) moms to our children. In fact, we view the whole staff of the Infinity Arts Academy as an extension of our own family as they provide a caring, nurturing atmosphere in which to teach our kids about the art and business of theatre. We have watched our children's confidence and enthusiasm soar as they took on new roles and developed new friendships throughout the summer. The Infinity Arts Academy offers a terrific learning experience for kids and an excellent value for parents.
