When we moved to the area and settled in, my daughter expressed a desire to get back into dance classes. I was apprehensive as I am fully aware that the "dance world" can be less than kind and I had no one here that I could ask for a reference from. After Googling and reading websites, we decided to give Ignite Dance Center a try. I loved that they believe in age-approproiate songs, costuming, and routines and that they have an expectation of character - all important things to us. Since enrolling, we have been continually impressed and beyond happy with our experience. What began as one recreational class quickly turned into two and it has only increased from there because my daughter's love for the art has done nothing but grown since being enrolled at Ignite Dance Center. She feels genuinely cared for by each teacher and cannot wait to go to her classes. Knowing my child isn't just another body being pushed through the programming, but is rather viewed as an individual heart to be cared for? Nothing compares. We found our home away from home in Ignite. I now have multiple children enrolled here and I cannot wait to watch their journeys continue to unfold as their love for dance continues to grow. After being a part of 3 different studios in the valley, I have found my families forever dance home. The owner and staff run a very family friendly studio in an encouraging and positive environment focusing on the growth and development of each dancer to reach their potential - not the expectations of judges and or other studios or parents. At Ignite, my child is more than just a tuition payment. More than a trophy or bragging rights. My child is seen. My child is loved and accepted. Ignite Dance studio has become an extension of my family and the comradery I have gained with other dance parents reaches far beyond the sterotypical "dance mom" archetype. We are a village. The studio and parents collaboratively love and care for all of the dancers from the tiniest tot to the newer teachers being mentored to share their love and passion for dance. Two years ago when learning about Ignite I was told the number one rule was to be nice. People who are not nice cannot stay. I am grateful for a studio and owner that protects my child's creative sanctuary and cares not only about teaching dance but teaching how to be good humans. We need more of that in this world. First, I am a retired school and dance teacher. I taught dance for 43 years. So saying that, I’m very picky about my grand daughter’s dance education. She danced at a studio for a few years and her last year there was not the atmosphere we wanted for her. Ignite is the place my daughter chose. I’ve had the opportunity to observe classes for a full year here on the tv screens in the lobby and attend many performances. The owner, Lisa Prentice, runs the studio in a kind, caring manner with a positive attitude! She is a professional from communicating with the parents to classroom instruction. There is a family atmosphere here that welcomed us in very quickly! My grand daughter actually is disappointed when there’s a holiday and no classes! So if you are looking for a place for your child to feel comfortable and happy, Ignite is the place! To us, it feels like home, we will be here for years to come!

5 Stars for Ignite Dance Center! After relocating to Henderson last year, my daughter decided she wanted to give dance another try in hopes of making new friends, building confidence and sparking a new passion. I looked at many dance studios in the area and Ignite was the only studio I found that offered beginner/intermediate classes for ages 11+. My daughter is quite tall for her age and hadn't danced since she was 3 years old, she was very nervous that she would be 'stuck' in a class of 'beginners' that were much younger than her and she wouldn't have an opportunity to make friends and build her self-confidence. We signed up for a trial class, the staff and parents in the lobby were so friendly and welcoming. After class, my shy daughter had mixed emotions of not being able to keep up in the class but also wanting to try again. We decided to enroll her into the class and she showed up every week and every week she was encouraged by the other dancers and Coach Katie! After a whole season with Ignite, my daughter has a new found confidence, new friends and great memories. I couldn't be happier to be part of Ignite Dance Center!

Lisa Prentice has hired a phenomenal team of dancers for all ages, and she is an extraordinarily kind dance teacher as well. I have really enjoyed her expressive choreography, and she is always positive, which helps my young dancer gain strong confidence in her skills. The very first recital blew me away! The costumes, lighting, venue, staging, and performance went very well. We have been so happy with Ignite Dance Center as OUR family dance studio. We'll NEVER leave!
