Musical theatre and dance camp in Manhattan founded by Broadway performers Jeffrey Schecter and Melissa Swender. Campers sample everything from ballet to break dancing plus singing with a live accompanist, acting, improvisation and scene work, building toward a performance. Full-day sessions run one to three weeks for ages 5.5-16, and the three-week camp ends with two performances at an Off-Broadway theatre.

She will choose to do ICDT over any activity and fears the day when she will be too old to attend. I have asked her many times why she loves it so much and she has told me that Jeff and his team (in addition to Melissa who she has interacted with in the summers) are all so incredibly kind, positive and fun - they make class such a warm, great learning experience. I can see this. They are very lovely people who work so hard to help the kids pull off these magical shows with a lot of heart. So grateful that they decided to start this and for all their nurturing.

Singing, dancing, memorization, acting, collaborating, and most of all having the best time ever performing.
