Huguenot Yacht Club runs a summer junior sailing program at 106 Harbor Lane West in New Rochelle for children ages 8-17, with a separate Intro to Sailing option open to ages 6-15. Children learn to rig and sail their boats through instructional and hands-on training, with daily coaching in seamanship, on-the-water safety and racing, plus organized games, picnic lunches and supervised free swim each afternoon in the club's pool. Two three-week sessions are offered alongside a Race Week and a three-day Intro-to-Sail program. Basic swimming skills are required and each child takes a swim test at the start of a session.

Attention! Please keep a close eye on your children at pool side! As the lifeguards are immature and not professional nor have any respect for families with children. They just sit and laugh while being on their cellphones. I had been watching my toddler the whole time she was swimming and then she just quickly went under water and my husband was quick to jump in the pool to grab her up. The lifeguard just sat there and didn’t even attempt to jump in the water to see if we were all ok. She just sat there and laughed and didn’t even bother to come over to see if my toddler was ok. This is unacceptable. Huguenot marina should be ashamed of themselves of NOT hiring real professional lifeguards. An absolute disgrace I highly recommend going elsewhere!

Great place to learn sailing and make good friendship

"Members Only" club, and this is the only reason why I give it four starts instead of five. Paired with great location it features the best waterfront view in 50 miles radius from it's clubhouse terrace, floating docks and poolside lawn. Although only members allowed to enjoy these great features it is possible to arrange it's lease for one time event. Strongly recommended
